Who can submit a parent declaration?

Before submitting a parent declaration, please check whether you meet the requirements. This will help prevent any unexpected issues while completing the process.

  • On DUO's reference date, your child is between 2 and 4 years old

  • Your child lives within a 6-kilometer radius of the Poseidon-Strand.

  • You are a parent or legal guardian and are authorized to submit a parental statement.

  • No parent consent form has yet been issued for another school initiative involving the same child.

Good to know: A parents declaration shows your support for the new school initiative. It is not a enrolment and does not commit you enrolling your child at the school.

Do you live on Strandeiland, IJburg or in the neighboring municipality? f so, you may be within our service area.

Good to know: The school will of course be open to children of primary school age. The 2-to-4 age requirement only applies to submitting the official parent declaration via DUO.

Waht exactly is a parent declaration

By submitting a parent declaration through DUO, you show your interest in a new school initiative such as Oranje Nassauschool Zuidoost. The declaration is a legal step in the application process for a new school and help demonstrate that there is sufficient demand.

Does submitting a parent declaration mean I have to enrol my child at this school

A parent declaration shows your support for the new school initiative. It is not an enrolment and does not commit you enrolling your child at the school.

What if I live just outside the 6 km radius

Oranje Nassauschool Zuidoost will be of course open to everyone. This 6-kilometre radius only applies to submitting the official parent declaration via DUO.

I do not have a child aged 2 to 4. What can I do?

Oranje Nassauschool Zuidoost will of course be open to children of primary school age. The 2-to-4 age requirement only applies tot submitting the official parent declaration via DUO. You can still help by sharing this initiative with other parents in your family, circle of friends or local network.

How long does it take to submit a parent declaration

The process through DUO only takes a few minutes. You will need your DigiD, your child's BSN and your child's details.

Can I submit a parent declaration for more than one school

No, for each child, only one valid parent declaration can be submitted for one school initiative during the designated period.

Wat gebeurt er na het indienen van de verklaring?

You will receive a confirmation from DUO and can also track the progress ther yourself. All valid parent declaration count towards the application for Oranje Nassauschool Zuidoost as a new school provided they are submitted before the deadline of 29 October 2026.
